Natural History Museum "Time Traveler"

High-level Goal of this project :
Make a strong and sustainable relationship between the audience and the museum, both even before and after visiting.
The Natural History Museum is not only competing with the Science Center, LACMA, and other museums. Universal Studios, Disney Land, shopping malls, movie theater , even TV and video game could be competitor.
In 2017 everything is trying to capture to the audience, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In this situation, the important thing is to think about the long term relationship with the audience outside of the museum. Not only when they are visiting.

Challenges :

1. Give a memorable moment to every audience member when they meet the dinosaur at NHM hall.
Imagine, the first time you come face to face with a giant dinosaur. Imagine, how special that moment will be, at any age. How could the NHM design a memorable experience for their audience.

2. Make a real connection between the visitor and the countless creatures featured at the NHM
The audience, especially children, don't take the time to read descriptions at the museum even if the didactics are great. Part of this challenge is making a real connection between the visitor and the numerous exhibits featured at the NHM. A concept like “200 million years” is too big to understand, especially for a child.

3. Bring the exterior of the NHM to life in a way that peaks the curiosity of people who are near the museum.
It is hard to tell what is inside. How do we let the public know what's inside of the NHM? How do we allow the NHM to educate the public, even when it is closed? This was the original assignment of this project, but now this is one of the check point to achieve the high level goal.
