ANTI-ME

For the past 100 days I was involved in various school workshops that has changed my perspective on visual communication. I made this personal anti-zine which stands as my reflection regarding my experience and work that was done during this 100 days. I feel that there is always a need to be constantly revolving before I feel stale as a designer. I have been pursuing a very distinct aesthetics since the inception of my attendance in this course, which I think have been a reaction from the commercial typical-esque industry I worked in before entering university.

I realise that I have been following a fresh, colourful and quirky look that feels almost unintentional. At the end of the day, i think it is time for me have a critical reflection before I progress. Going against my typical visual aesthetics is the only way for me to explore the possibilities as a communications designer. In this zine, I compile all my works done within the 100 days and mix them up into a disrespectful and taken-out-of-context concoction that defies my visual aesthetics.
