Schemata helfen uns Informationen schnell und leicht zu verstehen. Wenn man ein Tisch sieht, dann weiß man automatisch, dass man etwas draufstellen kann. Das gleiche passiert wenn man ein Stuhl sieht. Man erkennt automatisch was es ist und was man damit machen kann. Was passiert jedoch, wenn man Schemata, die man gespeichert hat vertauscht? Diese Frage hat mich inspiriert den Inside Tisch zu entwerfen. Ein Tisch hat immer Stellen, an denen man greifen kann, was man aber nie tut. Ein Mensch ist nicht gewohnt ein Tisch zu greifen und zu bewegen, Da man nie diese Information bekommt. Ich habe versucht dies zu ändern indem ich dem Inside Tisch zwei Griffe in einer provokativen Art gegeben habe. Das ist ein Schema, welches alle Menschen haben und sofort anwenden, wenn sie eine Griffstelle sehen. Der Rahmen ist auch von großer Bedeutung, Er bietet eine Verstauungsmöglichkeit und er hält den ganzen Tisch zusammen ohne jegliche Schrauben zu benutzen.
Schemata help us understand information easy and quick. It is a key ingredient of cognitive theories. When you see a table, you know automatically that you can place something on it. Same thing happens when you see a chair. You know automatically what it is and what you can do with it. What happens though when we mix schemata that are saved in our memories? This question inspired me to create the "inside" table. A table has always many parts you can grab but we never do it. The reasons are that we are not used to move a table and because we never get that information from a table. I tried to change that by adding to the "inside" table two handles in a provocative way. A schema that all people have and apply it to grab things.The frame is also an important element that stands out. It has a storage function and it holds all the parts of the table together without any screws.
