Task: Choose a CD with minimum 10 tracks. Redesign det cover, back and the booklet. This was a typographic task and we had to use a slab-serif font for the album title/headings.
I choose Karpe Diems last album "Kors på halsen, ti kniver i hjertet, mor og far i døden" I chose to use the symbols that you find in the albumtitle (heart, cross & death). I shaped the albumtitle into a heart on the cover, and on the backside all the tracks are shaped as a cross.
For the background I found a picture of some trees that reminded me of the norwegian nature. I wanted the cover to have a feeling of something raw and real, because I think thats how the music feels. This album also has a lot of melodic tracks, so I wanted the whole look to be a nice combination of pretty and clean/raw and deep.
