It was a dream project to be able to work with Google for their project, Google Allo. As a new messaging app, Allo is working it's way into Indonesian youth market. With deep insight from Google data analytics and our creative insight, we were able to create not only fun stickers, but also engaging, and relevant.
The theme i was assigned to was "Road Rage". Traffic have been a huge part of people who love in a big city, especially in Jakarta. Naming the set with word "rage" doesn't make the illustration feels angry. Instead, I decide to approach the style with many curves and round edges so they look more friendly and approachable.
What I also like about this style of illustration is that it's vibrant and colourful, that's 100% contrast of what the reality is, and adding humour and daily experience of real situation, also help to build context and character of the sticker itself.
