For a time now I have been interested in photography without really giving it a try in creating a personal project. This semester I decided to finally challenge myself with this.

Out of the many subjects and themes in photography that I like, I have
a particular interest in “jumping shots” and I believe that it’s the illusion of flying or levitating that makes me attracted to it.

At least in that split second captured with the camera we can see ourselves achieving something impossible as floating in the air making the picture feel fantasy-like.

That’s why I decided to select this as the theme of my first photography
project. However, I wanted to create something that was diferent from all the other existing jumping or levitating pictures out there.

While trying many things, I was able to combine the use of shadows and darker lighthing with the action of jumping; creating a project that not only makes me satisfied but that allowed me to discover something closer to my personal style and that made something much more original than what I initially planned.
