The TypeCon Conference Book was created using everything a student would have learned in Typography I this semester. The inspiration for the color scheme of the book came from another TypeCon Book that was showcased in the Senior Show this semester. The beautiful “matte” red of the example of the book is what especially gave inspiration to this TypeCon book. The layout of the book was designed in way of what a “list” would look like. It was designed so the reader would see things more organized and easier to understand. The book was created using not only a variety of different typography elements, but also hand lettering as well.  Type as image was done by dipping a thin stiff paint brush into black acrylic paint. Headings for example, was done using the paint brush and paint in a sketchbook. Once dried, all of the letters and words were photographed inside and placed into InDesign. The final format of TypeCon Conference Book is a Trade book, with the dimensions of 6×9 in, 15×23 cm, containing 100 pages.
