"Taiwan's small eats, delicacies lifestyle, and culture intertwined"
「民以食為天」為亙古不變的至理名言,台灣百年歷史承襲中華美食驚艷全球,台灣小吃聚集在地飲食精神博大精深,可窺見庶民生活經驗之傳承,本展運用創意在日常尋找生活美學調劑品,從「傳統小吃再創新」思維出發,以十種道地台灣小吃進行食器徵件,用設計重新定義在地飲食文化綻放嶄新價值,借在地好味引華食代新風向!
In Taiwan, food and eating are almost sacred, having been deeply embedded in the culture for generations. Over the last hundred years Taiwan has taken an inherited Chinese culinary style and astonished the world with its refinement. Its innumerable “small eats” are imbued with a local spirit based on a culture grounded in daily life. This exhibition is designed to take the aesthetics of these “small eats” to the next level. Ten different “small eats” were chosen as the basis for the competition and participants were tasked with using design to redefine the local culinary culture and to establish new trends for this delicious local food.
