Unmeant To Be - Conceptual Photography
Acid & Base
This concept is constructed based on the reverse meaning of ‘meant to be’, which means the photo outcome will not be the way on how viewers normally perceive and expect how it should be coming.

This photography concept also carries an important message, which is: ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’. Most people make assumption on something by just looking at the outward appearance of it before truly understand the actual content hides within it. You thought you will be getting the expected result after observing the surface, however, it is not happening in that way. You thought you can start chomping down the banana after peeling off its skin , but it turns out to be a cactus instead of banana flesh. You expect something so inside, but in contrary the actual content was harsh and thorny.

This series of work aimed to deliver the message that one should not be judgemental towards anything before knowing the story behind it. In order to convey the message, the subject of the series will be food or daily life objects, as the public can relate themselves better towards these essential objects in life. Each photo will have their own story and meaning contrast, allowing spectators to interpret the artworks by using their self-imagination.
