The idea of living on water is not a new one. Nor are the ways of arranging such a living. Converting barges and boats into floating houses emerged in Europe in the XIX century as a cheap way of living in the city center on the river or a canal.
Boat houses became fashionable in the XX century, particularly, in the Netherlands and France. Modern boat houses are designed and built as new cutting-edge architectural structures rather than revamped old barges, and they are meant not only for living, but also for other purposes. The idea of living on water occurred to our co-author and customer who wanted to have something different than a traditional house attached to the foundation. The design that we proposed refers to the ship-building character of the project. The project is designed and implemented entirely according to the proposed design, rather than being a restoration.
Now a few words about the barge itself.
The boat house is a vessel, whose design follows the principles of centrosymmetric composition, which is characteristic of ship-building. The lower level is a pontoon, a floating reinforced cement structure. Immersed in water, it is a reclaimed industrial loading dock 25 meters long and 11 meters wide. The upper floors make a frame building with metal load-bearing structures and walls made of metal frames and wood. The boat house is equipped with independent engineering systems of power supply and recycling. It also has a smart house technology and remote control. Apart from three floors of various residential, utility and technical premises, the boat house also has two open-air decks and a terrace running along the perimeter.
In 2016, after 11 years of successful use, there appeared a need for more area. Thus, one open-air deck was turned into a new residential area, while the other was reduced to give room for a new bathroom. These extensions and upgrading, 11 years later, were implemented in keeping with the context and concept of the whole project, without destroying the overall architectural design of the building. From the initial idea to its final implementation, the project is unique. The building work was done by yacht builders. This project is the most “special” one for SPECIAL PROJECT VENEDIKTOV

Баржа – дом на воде

Идея и способ жить на воде - не нова. Переоборудование барж-лодок в плавучие дома возникла в Европе в XIX веке, как дешевый способ поселиться в центре города на реке или канале.
В ХХ веке плавучие дома вошли в моду, например, как в Голландии и во Франции. Современные плавучие дома проектируются и строятся не как переделанные старые баржи-лодки, а как новые супертехнологичные архитектурные объекты для жилья и не только.
Идея жить на воде возникла у нашего соавтора и заказчика, как отказ от традиционного дома, привязанного к фундаменту. Нами был подготовлен архитектурный проект с привязкой к судостроительной специфике объекта. Данный объект запроектирован, воссоздан и построен по архитектурному проекту полностью, и не является реконструкцией.
Собственно – баржа.
Дом-баржа является судном при проектировании которого соблюдены каноны центрально-симметричной композиции, традиционной для судостроения. Нижний этаж – понтон, армоцементная плавучая конструкция – находится непосредственно в воде – это переделанный промышленный дебаркадер 25 м длиной и 11 м шириной. Верхние этажи являются каркасным зданием. Несущие конструкции металлические, конструкции стен – совмещённый металлокаркас с деревом. Дом – баржа обеспечен автономными инженерными системами энергообеспечения и переработки. Установлена система умного дома и дистанцированного управления. Кроме трех этажей различных жилых, подсобных и технических помещений дом-баржа имеет две летние палубы и периметральные террасы.
В 2016 году, после 11 лет успешной эксплуатации объекта, необходимо было увеличить площадь. Таким образом, одна летняя палуба была превращена в новую жилую зону, другая палуба была уменьшена за счёт встройки санузла. Достройка и дизайн-апгрейд, спустя 11 лет, была произведена в концепции и контексте стиля данного проекта и не нарушает общую архитектуру здания. Проект уникален от идеи до реализации, постройкой объекта занимались яхтостроители. Данный объект является самым «специальным» для SPECIAL PROJECT VENEDIKTOV
