World Cup Legends

O Rei 1970: 'Who came up with the idea of this project?  It is a great idea for a project' - Conversation with Pele, August 2012.
Der Bomber 74 - Gerd Muller signs up at FC Bayern Munich HQ in Germany, along with Uli Hoeness and Franz Beckenbauer.
Kempes 78:  Golden Boot winner in 1978, World Cup winner in his own back yard.
Tardelli 82 - If there was ever a 'best goal celebration' at a World Cup then the award would most certainly go to Marco Tardelli.  After scoring for Italy against West Germany in the Final, he ran and ran and ran some more.
Diego of 86:  The first of the World Cup Legends to sign up.
Lothar 90:  Played in more World Cups than anyone else.
Romario 94 - One of my favourite World Cup Legends and the first one that I met in person, Romario signed up during the Olympics in 2012.
Vieira 1998 - Manchester City HQ, Patrick Vieira signs up.
El Fenomeno 2002 - London and a chance meeting with Ronaldo after months of calls and emails to his people.  I took matters into my own hands and approached him outside Stamford Bridge and hey presto.
Gigi 2006:  Another phenomenal World Cup Legend, the first goalkeeper signed up.
Xabi 2010 - Paris, the final leg of the challenge, managed to get Xabi Alonso and Gerard Pique to sign the ball.  As you can see though it wasn't easy.  Xabi's face shows he wasn't too pleased!
The balls in all their glory:  All the matchballs from 1970-2010 signed by a total of 24 World Cup Legends, plus the 2014 Brazuca.  Who will sign that ball? We will have to wait and see...
LEGENDS EXHIBITION 2014 - Currently planning an exhibition to celebrate the history of the World Cup and display the entire matchball collection.  Any suggestions on how to raise funds please email me! amar@wclegends.com  Thanks
