Traditional tools and coloured wool used to make the intricate patterns for each carpet. Here is a metal comb with a wooden handle used to level each row once it is woven through the basic framework of threads that holds the carpet together. Pushing down the threads with this comb avoids any formation of gaps and packs in the weaves tightly.
