Background
The Frye Company is a boot manufacturer that has been around since 1863. Whenever Frye opens a new store, they launch a #MeetOurMakers campaign introducing people to some of the most creative, talented, and fascinating makers in that city. Frye wanted to create a story about these makers using photography and video.
My Role
I directed and edited each video for our shoot, profiling makers in Kentucky and Nashville. In Kentucky, we profiled Four Roses Bourbon, Ale8, and the artist Kayla Weber. In Nashville, we profiled Barista Parlor, Olive and Sinclair, and Jamie and the Jones.
My Approach
The producers and I would arrive at a location and put together a rough shot list. They were taking photos, so I would work with them to film between photo setups. I then made a 40-55 second edit of each video for Instagram.
