#ImNotSmiling Campaign

#ImNotSmiling

I'm Not Smiling is a campaign with the goal of bringing to attention that, with full protection under the law, people can invade others’ privacy and take pictures of them in their own home and even sell these pictures publicly. The campaign launched with billboards around New York City, create public awareness and encourage announcing to the New York State Assembly that #ImNotSmiling and to pass Bill NoA07804 which would make such invasions of privacy no longer legal. The campaign’s website explains how this issue was brought to our attention through various past lawsuits, including one involving Barbara Kruger, whose artistic style inspired the campaign’s aesthetics.
