Europe for Children
Aimed at kids aged 9 to 14, the book explains European countries in a modern and fun way. The project is a joint effort with Winona Lichner. While we both worked on the concept, outlines and colours, each was responsible for a different set of countries.
Our greatest challenge was to create a visual style that fit both of us as designers and illustrators.
Amsterdam (the Netherlands) is famous for its many channels. Also, there are bikes and they're everywhere!
In Paris (France) you'll find stylish people, taking a breaks in tiny french cafés.
Nothing is more important than family to southern Italians. They often share meals and most italian food we're familiar with originated in southern Italy.
St.-Petersburg (Russia) has very fancy architecture. Even in winter there's a lot to see. Once the many channels freeze over, people occasionaly use them for ice skating.
