For my Honours project I investigated the evolution of script typography. For my realisation & exhibition I designed a contemporary script typeface called 'Debussy Script', named after the French Composer 'Claude Debussy'. The typeface design was inspired by the roman types 'Archer Hairline' and 'Bodoni', and the English Roundhand writing style. Debussy Script has both uppercase and lowercase glyphs, numerals, an ampersand, and a series of alternate glyphs. My exhibition included a series of prints and specimen sheets with wax seals, a large vinyl of the complete specimen, wrapping paper, my printed dissertation and process workbook, and a promotional website.
