MPA Infographic Poster
Welfare for Our Seafarers
_

The brief required us to create an infographic poster to inform the target audience about the Marine and Port Authority of Singapore. We are given the choice to select any information from the Singapore Registry of Ships and turn it into an infographic poster.

Target Audience: Young adults who may want to join MPA
Location of Display: Family carnival
Theme: Modern. Break away from the standard corporate blue.

Topic Selected
We selected the "Welfare Scheme" as we identify this topic to be the most relatable information for the young adults. It is a scheme that has 7 different range of coverage from education to death or accident in the sea.

Illustration Direction
With reference to the brief, we think that line art is a form of modern illustration. It is different from the standard vector illustration and if properly executed it can bring out detailed illustration with minimal lines used.

Colour Choice
Yellow was used as the main colour to attract attention in a carnival. The combination of red and yellow further brings out the fun and vibrant factors in a poster. Blue traces it's origin back to MPA being a corporate and marine business. This reduced use of blue also contrast out the vibrant colours to prevent it from being too loud. The white is added to balance out the colours and draw the focus to the graphics.

Dimension: A1 (594x841mm)
Paper: Grandeur Extreme White 190gsm
