CONCEPT
// NAME
I chose to make a package design for an eastern fictional tea brand, a japanese company, called: TEASTE. The name came from the combination of 3 words:

TEA + EAST + TASTE

// LOGO
I wanted the logo to look different from  european ones, to make it authentic as a japanese brand, and I used a traditional calligraphy brush to write the name of the brand as if it were a real kanji, but still using the latin alphabet, only to give a characteristic look with the brushstrokes. It also reminds one of the image of a japanese name stamp, which finalizes the artworks.

// STRIP
The strip goes around the teabag, and makes it a uniform look to create an elegant present. Every type of tea has its own artwork that shows the pattern of the animal whose strength is the closest symbol of the tea's strength:
BLACK TIGER - BLACK TEA
SNAKE -GREEN TEA
WHITE CRANE - WHITE TEA

On the back of the strips, also a stamp of the animal shows up, helping the customer to recognise it. Every animal appears in japanese and eastern mythology, making a stronger connection between design and culture.
Under the strip, the bag shows its real nature - PURE ELEGANCE. The glossy black logo and the matte black paper brings cold simplicity. Nothing complicated, just what we need

This project was made for a design task at  Budai Rajziskola (artschool, Budapest, Hungary).
