Print on Web on Print
2017. 10 - 11
Intro
A trans-media project in the format of a website printing out to a poster series, exhibiting the physical paper sizes on screen and the printed screen size on paper. For this project, I developed the concept, design, and coding. This project is a reflection upon the contemporary experience wandering in between print and web.
Concept
The idea starts from the size variant quality of the browser, meaning the volatility of the viewports, either on different "devices" or the numerous states while resizing the browser. For this project, I brought different “devices” together to expand the understanding of this matter. Paper and screen, the two dominant and prevailing “devices" in 2017 mundane life, as well as the formats of this transmedia experimentation, are in contrast with each other in this exhibition.
The standard size paper exists in real scale on the screen within the browser viewport, and the browser sizes being printed in real scale on standard size paper within their crop marks.
