The Wind In The Willows
Puffin Book Competition
This was a Puffin books competition to redesign the children's book 'The Wind in the Willows' for this generation of children but to also appeal to parents.
I chose to design a map inspired from the original copies of the book, taking the shape of Mr.Toad's face, I thought this idea would urge children to interact with the map and want to find all the different locations. I chose friendly and bright colours, and extended the river across the whole book jacket to make it more fun.
The brief required strong use of typography so I decided to go for a font that was a balance between fun and decorative.
