Sadly, as forest fires ravaged through most of the north-center area of Portugal this summer, it became the subject for this project, in order to transmit optimistic thinking and active reforestation with a more balanced and fire-resistant ecosystem.
A green ribbon made out of Quercus leaves was chosen as the symbol for awareness on the matter, being one of our native trees as well as some animals that inhabit such forests.
We decided to offer the designs to CERAS, a Portuguese NGO that has played a major role in saving wildlife from the fires, with hopes of them using the illustrations on T-shirts and bags to try to get more funds for their fantastic work.
