Swipe Phone/ Final Year Industrial Design Project

Every year the way we use our money is becoming more immersed into digital technology. This project looks at creating a phone that strips away the unnecessary gadgets we have become accustomed to while pairing it with something we need, a device which integrates how we pay for things straight into the phone.

The Swipe Phone is a phone designed to be as slim as a credit card but incorporate the role of your wallet into your phone. Utilising htc barcode and bluetooth technology you can use the phone to pay for all your daily items from your coffee in the morning to dinner with your friends.
The phone is designed to function similar to your credit card. Each phone (student, silver and gold) has a value associated with it. The student phone is cheap to run and does not have a high spending limit, the silver business phone has more calling minutes and more money loaded on to it and then the gold phone has unlimited minutes for calling and the highest amount of credit you can put on to it, ideal for the travelling business person or high spender.

The Swipe phone aims to make life easier by combining two of the most important items you own into one easy to use product.
