[school assignment]

Brief: To redesign a dried food product
Chosen brand & product: Kellogg's cereal. My three products are Froot Loops, Coco Pops and Frosties.

Through my redesigned one serve packaging, I was targeting children of about age 5. I wanted the design to aid with easy eating (with a funnel pitcher as the opening for accurate pouring). To add on, I chose a shape out of the regular rectangles as I felt that rectangles are over-rated as cereal boxes and if I wanted more attention for my packaging on the shelf, I had to get out of the norm. Children are also attracted to odd shapes. Thus, the hexagon. The hexagon box is ensured to be of small size such that children can hold them easily and properly with their cute tiny hands.

My surface graphics features the mascot of the cereal product doing different common children activities and hobbies such as swimming, dancing, art, skip rope, and flying a kite. Since this one serve cereal not only serves as a breakfast meal but a snack in the middle of the day, I wanted my concept to be such that with Kelloggs, children will have the energy to do their activities.

Once done eating the mascots on the back of the box are perforated for easy tearing. Children can dress them up and play with them once torn out.
