Art Journal
What poetry does to the mind, art does to the soul.
Inspired from poetry and excerpts, this project defines my love for 'journaling’. It is the beautiful amalgam of words and interlacement of thoughts on paper which is soothing. Each inspires to create art, which is open and upon the reader to visualise and dream.

This was a self initiated project, November 2017 challenge to create a journal entry using prompts shared by @finitebrains on Instagram.
10 prompt words for 10 days used to create each journal entry.

the universe took its time on you
crafted you to offer the world
something different from everyone else
when you doubt how you were created
you doubt an entry greater than us. both

look at what they've done
the earth cried to the moon
they've turned me into one entire bruise

reality
Do you have a favourite colour?
I'd say No.
Do you have a favourite quote?
I'd say how selfish would I be to choose amongst any of them who are above all dreamers and poets and inspirations.

This Art Journal page is dedicated to four of my all time favourite writers: Rumi, Oscar Wilde, Rupi Kaur and Kanza Javed.
 Few of their words:

Unfold your own myth - Rumi

With freedom, books, flowers and the moon, who could not be happy - Oscar Wilde

I do not weep because I am unhappy
I weep
because I have everything
yet I am unhappy - Rupi Kaur

don't wake up my darling
you're in a dream world
where reality Is metamorphised
that is discomforting
don't wake up yet - Kanza Javed

your favourite quote
never feel guilty for starting again

Rupi Kaur
The Sun and Her Flowers
love
love
it was when I stopped
searching for home
within others and
lifted the foundations of home within myself
I found there were
no roots more intimate than those
between mind and body
that have decided to be whole

Rupi Kaur
The Sun and Her Flowers

Mental health
I notice everything
I do not have
and decide it is beautiful

Rupi Kaur
Your fears
We need more love
not from men
but from ourselves
and each other
