About The Company
Aqualeaf Organic Company was founded back in 2013 with the intention of changing how food is perceived by society. The founder and owner of the company wanted to remove the culture of big agriculture, and how the current system of huge corporate farms is leading us into an unsustainable dependence for our food. The brand’s goal is to change how people viewed food as an element of their lives.
Aqualeaf Organic grows various herbs, leafy greens, micro-greens, and vegetables using hydroponics. It’s a completely self-sustained, controlled system for growing plants extremely efficiently and fully indoors. The brand uses environmentally-friendly packaging and materials to grow and sell the food. For now, they are targeting local restaurants and farmer’s markets, and will eventually get into selling directly to the customers in the near future.
About The Project
Designed for an independent organic and hydroponic farm based in Chicago, IL. The work included creating a Brand Visual Identity, including branding identity and packaging designs for their selection of premium organic vegetables. The concept of organic and hydroponic needs to be transmitted throughout the brand. Since the growing processes at Aqualeaf fully uses the hydroponic system, it is important to use texture that could emphasize the freshness and organism. The packaging includes a lot of different types of products.
