CliC News is a news website for primary school children primarily in 4th, 5th and 6th class where children can improve their literacy skills and media awareness by reading current, age-appropriate curriculum linked news stories, comment on them, express their opinions and get feedback. CLiC News offers a positive internet experience for children and its main aims are to encourage them to: improve their literacy and media literacy skills,take an active interest in Irish and World news, express their views in a thoughtful manner, communicate and argue effectively, be conscious about internet safety.

The aim of this project was to develop an original and unique story starter notebook that children using the CLiC News swapshop would be interested in exchanging their stars for.
