TheRibbon suite of sanitary ware and bathroom furniture, which wascreated in close cooperation with Jika - My bathroom, brings theexclusivity with the maximum functionality in a small bathroom. It isalso a proof that attractive design is not only for young people.Nevertheless it respects the needs of seniors and people with reducedmobility. The Ribbon suite reflects my own experience with the use ofa small prefabricated bathroom.
Thebasic component of the suite is a sink with hidden valve, which wasmanufactured together with the cabinet as a functional prototype incollaboration with companies Jika and DřevotvarZnojmo. The ceramic cover displays a unique and functional designsolution - the chosen shape smoothly distributes the running waterand prevents spraying despite the sink´s shallow depth. Ifnecessary, it is possible to deepen the basin by removing the cover.
Cabinetwas developed to maximize storage space while providing a comfortablestanding at the sink thanks to the narrowing bottom.
The modular system allows you to choose between drawers, hinged laundry basket and extendable basket. The last mentioned can also be used as a seat for those who due to health reasons cannot endure long standing time as it is not comfortable or strenuous.
Thepart of the design is a wall module, which was the main source ofmorphology for the Ribbon suite. Its primary function is tofacilitate movement in the bathroom and increase safety.
It also serves as an electric heater, reaching comfortable but still safe temperature. The module can be completed with various accessories such as racks, shelves and more. Thus, any user can easily customize his or hers bathroom to the current needs.
Ribboncloset design was created especially with regard to thefunctionality. Heightened seating area relieves the use whilemaintaining the shape principle unites the bathroom suite.
