The aim of this study is to demonstrate the subject area of high mountain architecture.
Project of self-sufficient mountain refuge which is related to the regional architecture of Podhale is key element of this thesis.
In order to varify this estabilished purpose- case study was based on: library query, analysis of exemples of architecture from the regional forms into contemporary vernacular buildings,environmentally friendly and high edificies, testing of issues related to the project, field research,pre design process, photographic documentation.
In-depth studies- mainly modern vernacular architecture based on local tradition allowed to obtain answers to the established thesis and create optimal concepts of mountain refuge.
