Woodenland. 2016.
After several years working exclusively with digital media, in 2016 I found myself missing manual work. Among other works, I made the "woodgrain" series: pastel and gouache drawings based on the texture of wood. I started off representing wood in a more figurative fashion to later on move away from that and create a freer interpretation.
I used my drawings to create patterns printed on silk and cotton and to produce textile objects.
