Alfalfa House - Bespoke signage & Shelving

The client was Alfalfa House, an organic food co-operative in the trendy/alternative suburb of Newtown in Sydney, Australia. They required new shop front signage, and signage for some made to measure shelving, for which they provided the 2D artwork.

I worked with a local welder/fabricator who spearheaded the project and completed the parts of the project that required metalwork. I converted the .AI files to .DXF using Inkscape, and imported to Autodesk Fusion 360 where I turned them into 3D models and used the CAM function to create the toolpath for a CNC router. The signage was made of 18mm plywood, with the brand logo on one side, and text on the other. Once machined to a depth of 2mm, the plywood boards were sanded and finished and handed over to the client, who painted them.
