C.O.R.E - The Augmented Virtual Spatial Environment.

Imagination is a powerful, natural, god-given ability that all human possessed. It is the reason that everyone came to know people like Albert Einstein, Johannes Gutenberg, and Thomas Edison. Imagination cannot and should not be confused with delusion or unreal thoughts; it is the beginning of everything.

People often develop a sense of novelty when faced with things in their daily lives that does not make sense. For instance, when driving on an unfamiliar road, isn’t it a pain to look at the GPS screen while still trying to drive safely? Shouldn’t there be a way to virtually see a navigational arrow while the eyes is still on the road? How cool and helpful if architects could see a realistic virtual hologram, with precision, of their building design on a piece of empty land? How much easier it would be, if lecturers could explain something difficult in the class, by just a snap of the finger? It all may seemed as fantasies but it is not impossible.

As physical land and nature resources is getting more scare as the day goes by, one will have to think of other ways and possibilities to cope with the ever increasing population. No, we’re not thinking of ways to cut down the world population, but exploring and searching for a new dimension that is able to lift the burden of what we’re having now or, even better, displace them.

The Augmented Virtual Spatial Environment aims to bring communication to the next level by tapping on to new technologies such as the Augmented reality, head-up display and clear glass display. Hence, providing a new definition to the meaning of communication.

Since virtual space is just practically air, why not fully utilise it?

This project demonstrate techniques such as idea conceptualisation, branding, graphic design, 3D visualisation and Rapid Prototyping, art direction, storyboarding and video production.
Development of the medium device. 3D visualisation.
Side view.
One-sided and two-sided options.
Prototype of the transmitting device via Rapid Prototyping.
Gesture interaction with the core interface.
                Paging transition.
                         Storyboard for the video.
