Bad Mono is a typeface based on the game badminton and were costume made for the visual identity of Carl Anders’ exhibition ‘A Game of Badminton’. 

Bad Mono is based on the sports rhythm and the net of the badminton court which is built up by a grid. As the feather ball hits the net the grid squares expands and therefor are most of the uppercase letters the double letter width of the lowercase letters, just as if the ball just smashed in to them and extended them.
