The work presented here is a re-interpretation of the tale « Little Red Rinding Hood » where the roles of predator and prey are reversed.

Miroring classical youth litterature, the drawings play with the distinction between man and animal throughout a hunting scene medling chases, tricks and disguise.
Initially destinated to dissuade young girls from leaving their homes, this tale finds here a new meaning.
Trapped in a patriarcal and oppressive world, the woman emancipates herself and takes arms.
The masculine and paternal figure of the hunter becomes a wolf in disguise, the vengeful and savage woman takes the story into her own.
The hunting trophies are subtle inuendos towards her past love conquests, now free she penetrates into the forest, finds the wolf : whom she scrupulously slays ,as a powerful illustration of domination.
The omnipresent anthropomorphism is the permanent link between my other projects where wilderness, childhood, trickery and disguise are combined.
The forest symbolizes the right of passage from childhood to adulthood in most tales: a dark and frightening stage in which few venture
Here the young lady becomes a woman, with determination.

Ce travail interprète le conte du Chaperon Rouge ordinaire en inversant les rôles de prédateurs et proie entre loups et jeune fille. Désormais chasseresse, elle dompte cette forêt hostile et ses animaux. À la manière des classiques de la littérature jeunesse, le dessin se joue de la distinction entre l'homme et l'animal dans une scène de chasse mêlant poursuites, ruses et déguisement.
Initialement destiné à dissuader les jeunes filles à s'éloigner de chez elle, ce conte trouve ici une toute nouvelle lecture. Bloquée dans un monde patriarcal et oppressant, la femme se libère seule et prend les armes. La figure masculine et paternelle du chasseur devient un loup déguisé et la femme vengeresse et sauvage se réapproprie l’histoire.
Les trophées de chasse sont un clin d’œil aux conquêtes amoureuses, à présent libérée elle pénètre dans la forêt, trouve le loup : image de domination qu'elle exécute sans scrupule.
L'anthropomorphisme omniprésent est le lien permanent avec les autres projets où se mêlent forêt, enfance, ruse et déguisement. La forêt étant dans le plupart des contes le symbole du passage à l'âge adulte : une étape sombre et effrayante dans laquelle personne n'ose trop s'aventurer. Ici la jeune fille devient femme, avec détermination.
