Sorcières (Witches)
Re-branding a book collection
Sorcières (Witches)
This project is an essential part of my master's as it channels a variety of values that are at stake in my practice. Editorial design is a privileged way to question one's view of the world by opening one subject to discussion and to offer new insights. I also see it as a means to build a community of values. The "Witches" collection was launched in 2015 by the french publishing house Les éditions Cambourakis. The aim was to give access to foreign pieces of writing to the french public to renew the feminist discussions and theories, to bring a new perspective to the table.

The title has a rebel edge to it and so does the spirit of the collection. It underlines the freedom of tone that is used in the books as well as a fierce independence of mind that is embodied by the corpus.

Considering the angle I chose to explore in my essay - how to broadcast the diversity of women's voices through graphic design -, re-branding this collection has been an interesting process and led me to new ambitions.
