Zepter Puriheater - water purifier and electric kettle
for Zepter's "Kitchen Gadgets"
My design combines the electric kettle with a water purifier. Electric kettles are liable to suffer from limescale formation, this gadget offers a solution to this problem. There is an active carbon filter on the top of the pot. This solution extends the lifespan of our cookware, and ensures cleaner and healthier water for consumption. The product consists of two main parts, the tank and the kettle. Both of these are 2 liter volume, the volume of the two parts needs to be the same, because when the kettle overfills the hot water can damage the filter. In the handle of the cover there are leds that indicate the condition of the filter, orange means it is time to buy the new one, red means time to replace it. The kettle has a very usual base pad therefore it is able to be carried everywhere in the kitchen. The plastic parts would be made by polypropylene, because that material does not release harmful BPA (biosphenol A).
