The goal of this project was to create a fully-functional pedal Go-Kart aimed at kids from four to eight years-old. Inspired by the lines of F1 racing cars and dragster vehicles, the aerial top view shows a streamlined body that proves to be aerodynamically efficient and aesthetically pleasing.

The most reliable transmission mechanism.

It was necessaru to look for alternatives to a roller chain in order to avoid slippage, so a cogged belt was used instead. To accomplish this, the pedal shaft carries a large sprocket-wheel, which drives, in this case the belt, which in turn, drives a small sprocket on the axle of the rear wheel.

Into the details
Round the corners.

The pivot of the steering wheel that connects to the shaft is located at the bottom part to provide proper leg room for the user. The steering column is attached by two steel rods to custom-made spindle brackets that allow angle turns no more than 45° in either direction for improved stability.
