Journey to the Moon - Soundtrack

Journey to the Moon is a short film made by cousins Henrik and Lars Hassing in 1973 as a gift to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their grandparents. The cousins were only 11 and 13 years old at the time. It was filmed by using a Eumig Viennette Super 8 camera, and is considered the first Lego movie known to be made, having drawn the path for Lego movies as we know them today.

I've discovered Journey to the Moon some time ago, and as a final essay for a college i decided to improvise a soundtrack for it, since it originally has none. So i decided to play my synthesizer from the beginning to the end of the video without stopping, like an improvisational performance. I did this eight times so it would have various layers of improvisation depending and influencing one another, instead of thinking and planning with time what sounds would appear on which parts. All sounds were made with a Korg Minilogue synthesizer. Recorded, processed and mixed with Logic Pro X software.

This entire project was made solely with academic purposes. I own nothing and all rights belong to their owners.
