The Do It Yourself rollover hinged lid box is meant to contain a sewing kit designed for all those one who love DIY: bobbins, needles, pins, chalks, scissors and whatever you can think of.

The graphics layout of our Do It Yourself packagings reflects the handmade character of the product, or better, of its goals. A calligraphic shaky font, meant to be imprecise, together with the representation of the various tools of the trade using a simple and essential style. An irregular shape, including different graphic elements and placed on a pastel green background, that is suddenly stopped by the overlapping of a sketchbook and some sticky notes. A kind of rough collage that highlights the handmade dimension of DIY. Other graphic symbols are placed on the rollover hinged lid box front and back, as if they want to tell us what it is inside the DIY boxes.

Simple and playful illustrations that characterize an intentionally plain and familiar design, close to the one who will use the product and, therefore, its packaging.

Staying on the DIY topic, we decided to make the graphic file of Packly’s sewing kit available to you. Are you ready to create your bespoke box? You will only need to download the PDF file, print it to 1:1 scale on a paperboard with the similar grammage we used (0,345 mm – 300 gsm), cut the packaging along the blue lines and fold the various sides following the red ones.

That’s it, the packaging for your sewing kit is ready to use!

La proposta creativa di oggi è un kit da cucito su misura per chi, di misure, se ne intende.

La scatola a valigetta Do It Yourself è stata pensata per contenere un set di accessori sartoriali destinati a tutti gli amanti del fai da te: rocchetti di filo, aghi, spilli, gessetti, forbici e chi più ne ha, più ne metta.

L’impostazione grafica delle nostre scatole per il fai da te rispecchia il carattere artigianale del prodotto o, meglio, delle sue finalità. Una font tremolante di derivazione calligrafica, volutamente imprecisa, unita alla rappresentazione dei vari strumenti del mestiere dallo stile semplice ed essenziale. Uno sfondo verde pastello su cui campeggia una sagoma irregolare che contiene i vari elementi grafici, ma che viene di colpo interrotta dalla sovrapposizione di un quaderno per gli schizzi e alcuni post-it. Una sorta di collage grossolano che mette in risalto la dimensione manuale del fai da te. Altri simboli grafici sono riproposti sul fronte e sul retro del packaging a valigetta, quasi a raccontare il contenuto delle scatole.

Illustrazioni semplici, giocose che caratterizzano un design volutamente senza pretese, familiare, vicino a chi utilizzerà il prodotto e, di conseguenza, la sua confezione.

Per restare in tema fai da te, abbiamo deciso di mettere a tua disposizione il file grafico del kit da cucito Packly. Ti basterà scaricarlo, stamparlo in scala 1:1 su un cartoncino di spessore simile a quello che abbiamo utilizzato noi (0,345 mm – 300 g/mq), tagliare il packaging lungo le linee blu e piegare le varie componenti in corrispondenza delle linee rosse.

Ecco fatto, la scatola per il tuo kit da cucito è pronta all’uso!
