"I Am Little Red"
Background design and color keys for animated short-film about sexual traffic.

I AM LITTLE RED is a 10-minute animated short aimed at children most at-risk for sex trafficking, with the goal of prevention and awareness. The film, is a contemporary re-imagining of the classic fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood.
I was hired to make the concept art for the backgrounds, that also ended being used as color keys for the film. This was a huge challenge for me, since I find relatively easy to design a character based on an emotion or an atributte, but designign buildings and houses that could provoque such feeling was really different from what Im used to do. I tried to convey this emotions by Colors, using warm and pink palettes where the Little red have control of their Life, and more bluish ones where the Wolves are in control, all of this mixed with bright souces of light.
