'Smotra' is the annual fair held by University of Zagreb with the aim of presenting each faculty and department to potential students. To present our department, the School of Design, we created a little game for the visitors.
The game is essentially a puzzle that consists of 20 large cubes, with one colour printed on each of the sides; one ‘side of design’. The visitor then turns the cubes around and tries to put together different compositions, while discovering works made by students of design. These compositions describe some of the main design fields such as: Visual Communications, Industrial Design, Typography, Illustration and Form and Function.
The process of direct printing on the cardboard surface allowed for maximum vibrance of the colours used, keeping the design simplistic and the production affordable.
Instead of printing out complex flyers with too much information, we decided to simply replicate the cubes in the form of small square-shaped prints, thus creating a memento which the visitor can take home.
On the back of the prints we stamped the essential information of the School, leading the visitor
to the website where they can find all necessary information.
