I've been itching to post this project online, and finally got a chance to upload it here!
I worked with the awesome folks over at Theo to create a series of illustrations based on musical styles for their product, Theo Wheel.
I worked with the awesome folks over at Theo to create a series of illustrations based on musical styles for their product, Theo Wheel.
In a nutshell, Theo Wheel, is a seemingly simple, yet super well thought out little device, that makes music theory a lot easier to grasp and apply. By turning the wheel, the markings on the front line up in accordance with different notes of musical scales in specific keys. As a self taught guitar player and music enthusiast myself, I thought this was an awesome idea and a huge help in writing music.
After a bit of brainstorming we decided that it could be great to create a way to personalise the product to suit the user by creating colour coded illustrations of some of the most popular musical genres.
