Divergences | Editorial Work - 2017

Editorial

Divergence is an editorial work we created for our graduation project. We printed 30 copies, each one of them is completely unique. The purpose of our essay is to fight against the gender stereotypes and norms, in order to highlight divergences. We believe that gender stereotypes are limitations to a healthy development of a child’s identity. Our editorial concept is based on a subtle balance between singularity and plurality.
Promoting individuality, each of the 30 essays is printed in a unique way:  a wide range of colored papers was randomly organized in the printing machine. The cover is black and designless while inside, a complex and colorful editorial is revealed once you open the book. Throughout this concept, we wished to represent the complexity of a children’s identity. They are more than just one color, more than pink or blue, more than all the stereotypes most of the people believe in.
