IMPOSSIBLE SPACE
How can a space be altered through the agency of those who inhabit it? How is Virtual Reality stretching this boundaries?
We developed a VR installation where, in the virtual world, we created a Turrellian world that slowly changed until some elements appear in the room that can be altered by the movement of the person.
To blur the boundaries of the virtual/real world, we used light and an inflatable sculpture as a tool. The Turrellian colours became real in the installation room and the inflatable acted as a connection for the movement of the person between the real and the virtual world.

This project has been developed with VVVV to output to the Oculus Rift and an Arduino to control the inflatable.
The group involved Yiyi Wang, Alexander Kendall White and Cristina Tarquini.
