Wordstruck

Michelle is a copywriter and brand storyteller, who asked me to create a logo and stationery to launch her freelance business Wordstruck.

Wordstruck is actually a made-up word that reflects the feeling you get when a surprising, delightful or emotive word stops you in your tracks. It’s a bit like being love-struck by language.

I created a logo that shows Wordstruck as a dictionary entry, alongside its tagline definition ‘writing that catches your attention.’ This defines the word, and what Wordstruck delivers.

I kept the branding super simple, monochrome and typographic, to reflect the clarity of Michelle’s writing style. No fuss. Nothing that isn’t needed. It’s a brand of words and letters – the heart of the Wordstruck business.
