Shubbak El Fann is an initiative of the Goethe-Institut Cairo, which is based on a participatory participation of young artists, artist groups and cultural managers. 

The selection of the projects is made by a jury consisting of three professional members, 
and a member of the cultural programs department of the Goethe-Institut. The selected projects are presented to the public by a jury member and made accessible to the public via the institute's networks.
