Books for Bad People
This poster series was in response to a series of incidents where someone scrawled racist epithets in a library that one of my friends worked in. I experimented with a few different visual approaches before settling on the final design. The typeface is based on Highway Gothic, the federal standard for all US road signage; anyone who drives a car obeys it all day long, and recognizes it as a voice of authority.
