Bird Fan
The Fan-Cage is a playful and poetic object that combines two seemingly unrelated items - a fan and a birdcage - in a unique way. Made during my internship with designer Sebastian Errazuriz in New York City, the project draws from his iconic Duck Fan, which depicts a stuffed duck flying into a fan. In my own iteration, I reimagined a birdcage and fan as a single, hybrid object - the Bird Fan.
By blending the forms and functions of two distinct objects, the Bird Fan creates an unexpected and whimsical visual statement. The result is a "portmanteau word" of sorts - a new creation that fuses two disparate concepts in a fresh and innovative way.
