The aim of the project was to develop a product for the Designnest crowfunding platform. This project consisted of 2 parts, each having their own focus. The first part revolved around innovation of a product , while the second one focused heavily on the production of a product.

The first step consisted of undertaking a market analysis to map out the different product already available.

After conducting several of these analyses for different products, I discovered a possible opportunity in the range of low-budget design cat scratching furniture.

A reoccurring problem is the main focus on the cat without taking into account the environment and interior of the user. The small selection of products that do factor in the user have a steep price tag to along with it.

It’s the reason why the market of low-budget cat scratching furniture is totally overlooked, even though the demand is there.

To top it off, I noticed during my research that environmentally friendly production is totally being overlooked. Most of the current products on the market break after a short while, leaving them having to be completely discarded off instead of being repaired of partially replaced
