During the first years of my bachelor studies in engineering, I had taken an interest in graphic design. One of the exercises I did was a brand identity guide for my university, back in 2010.

This is not the official brand identity for METU. In fact, when I tried presenting it to the then responsible board in the presidency building, they had told me that they were already working on a brand identity with a leading Turkish graphic designer.

This was the first project I became aware of page layouts, ratios, and other typesetting rules that need to be implemented in a sufficiently complex project. I was still an admirer of Helvetica back then.
