Thisis dress was inspired by the theme “Where e Wild Roses Grow”, song and music video by Nick Cave. Kylie Minogue, and by both the painting “Ophellia” by Jonh E. Millais and photogragh “Life and Death in Hackney” by Tom Hunter. All of these represent a girl, Ophellia, lying dead, oating on a river full of roses. at way I tried to capture this by sewing roses on the bottom and body of a simple tulle dress, just as if the roses were oating on it.
